STORY OF THE MONTHBank – Edgewater, CO – September 20
A suspect entered a bank and passed a note to an employee demanding money. The employee handed the suspect $4,500. Fleeing in a getaway car, police responded rapidly thanks to the Cash Tracker hidden in the stolen cash. The suspect led officers on an extended pursuit across several jurisdictions. Police, aided by multiple agencies, tracked the suspect’s location and eventually apprehended them miles away, retrieving the stolen cash.

Athletic Apparel Store – Los Angeles, CA – September 5
Full Recovery of $1,000 and 2 Arrests
Two suspects entered an athletic apparel store in LA, grabbing $1,000 in merchandise, including an ORC Tracker mixed in with the stolen items. As they left the scene, the tracker activated and 3Si’s tracking support center worked with Law Enforcement to monitor the suspects’ path. The trackers lead to the suspects, they were quickly apprehended, and the stolen items were all recovered.
Electronics Store – Philadelphia, PA – September 8
Full Recovery of 1 Arrest
One individual entered a Philadelphia electronics store, targeting high-value items. They stole $30,000 worth of phones, including a hidden Phone Tracker device among their haul. After quickly exiting the store, they attempted to escape. However, with data from Phone Tracker, police swiftly located the suspect and recovered all stolen goods.
Beauty Store – Gainesville, FL – September 9
Full Recovery of $1,000 and 2 Arrests and Crime Ring Stopped
Three suspects stole thousands in merchandise from a Beauty Store, unknowingly taking an ORC Tracker with them. The tracker activated, allowing law enforcement to monitor the suspects as they fled south. The suspects exited the turnpike and were tracked to an apartment complex. Local authorities quickly coordinated, surrounding the area and apprehending two suspects without incident, securing a full recovery of the merchandise. This crew was linked to prior ORC cases, and local law enforcement praised 3Si’s tracking technology for enabling the successful arrests.
Big Box Retailer – Lockhart, TX – September 10
Full Recovery of $30,000 and 2 Arrests
Two suspects, who were on-site during hired maintenance, decided to steal on the job. They thought they could get away with it, but one of the items they stole had a Phone Tracker. After noticing the device moving from the store into a vehicle, 3Si’s Tracking Support Center contacted the store, confirming the theft with the manager. Local PD used the devices’ location to find and apprehend both suspects.
Beauty Store – Boynton Beach, FL – September 11
Full Recovery and 4 Arrests
Four suspects stole over $1,000 in luxury items from multiple beauty stores. At one store, they distracted staff and quickly loaded perfumes into bags, escaping in a getaway vehicle. A hidden ORC Tracker in one item allowed police to tracK them to a different store where more merchandise was stolen. The suspects headed north and stopped at a residence. The tracker lead police there and they were able to recover the goods and apprehend all four suspects.
Pharmacy – San Leandro, CA – September 12
Full Recovery and 1 Arrest
A robbery took place at a San Leandro pharmacy, where one suspect made off with stolen goods that included a hidden Cash Tracker. Shortly after the theft, the tracker activated, alerting 3Si’s Tracking Support Center and local PD. The device transmitted its location as it moved away from the store, eventually becoming stationary nearby. Using the real-time data from 3Si, police responded swiftly, locating the suspect. The suspect was apprehended without incident, and a full recovery of the stolen items was made, bringing the case to a successful close.
Bank – Gold River, CA – September 15
Full Recovery and 2 Arrests
Two suspects attempted to steal an ATM in Gold River, CA early in the morning, unaware of the ATM Tracker. With the help of the tracker, Deputies quickly located the suspects’ SUV and pursued them through a nearby field until their vehicle was disabled. The men fled on foot but were soon captured. A search revealed an unregistered handgun in the vehicle. Both suspects are in custody, with detectives linking them to other local crimes.
Convenience Store – Portland, OR – September 23
3 Arrests and Full Recovery
In Portland, OR, three suspects began stealing from a convenience store. Among the stolen products was a Tobacco Tracker. The trackers automatically activated and with the help of 3Si’s tracking support center, Law Enforcement were able to follow the suspects’ route. The trackers stopped nearby, allowing officers to close in on the suspects. All three suspects were detained, and all the stolen goods were recovered.
