Innovating to Fight Crime

The past year marked significant advancements in innovation. Our tracking technology continued to yield tangible results for law enforcement, and we observed an increasing number of cases where GPS, video surveillance, and license plate recognition worked together to achieve remarkable outcomes. Additionally, we have revolutionized the safety and security industry by delivering real-time crime intelligence directly to law enforcement dispatchers through our DirectToDispatch™ (DTD) service. Developed over two decades in partnership with over 10,000 law enforcement agencies, DTD has already helped remove 21,000+ felons from our communities.

Our partnership with Rapid Response Monitoring is further expanding Direct to Dispatch (DTD) capabilities by incorporating threat-to-property or threat-to-persons crime events classified as Level 3 and 4 under the new AVS-01 standard. These real-time events include relevant location data, detailed descriptions of involved individuals, license plate information (if available), and actual audio and video footage of the incident in progress.

Developed in collaboration with law enforcement, this initiative enhances officer safety, accelerates response times, and provides agencies with critical, real-time intelligence for safer and more effective outcomes.

Innovating for a Safer Tomorrow

We introduced the patent-pending Dock Door Camera Kit this year. Offering clear forensic video even in total darkness, it ensures reliable surveillance at the dock door and for loading/unloading.  Advanced features like bump-triggered auto-reset and cable protection make it critical to supply chain operations. It supports two camera models and a universal version will be available later this year.

Innovation that Stopped Crime

A few crime events from the past year that showed the importance of technology and providing critical data to law enforcement for crime response.

Athletic Apparel Store – Kennesaw, GA – April 23, 2024

A felony theft occurred at an athletic apparel store, resulting in the theft of merchandise valued at $8,000. Among the stolen items was a concealed ORC Tracker, which activated and provided real-time location updates. Law enforcement employed various tools, including surveillance cameras and license plate readers, to identify the suspects and connect them to other crimes. Following a vehicle pursuit, two suspects were arrested, and all stolen merchandise was recovered. The collaboration between 3Si technology and law enforcement played a crucial role in recovering these assets and enhancing community safety.

Bank – Medford, OR – May 17, 2024

A bank robbery led to the theft of $1,400 and a hidden Cash Tracker. This device provided vital location data, allowing law enforcement to trace the suspect’s movements through areas monitored by surveillance.  With additional evidence from surveillance and the Cash Tracker, law enforcement apprehended the suspect, preventing any further criminal activity. The collaboration between 3Si tracking technology with video evidence and police resources allowed for an efficient resolution to the crime, ensuring public safety.

Dollar Store – Midfield, AL – June 3, 2024

A robbery at a dollar store activated a Cash Tracker, which guided police to the suspect’s area. Using additional evidence from surveillance and investigative tools, law enforcement apprehended the suspect, preventing further criminal activity. By integrating 3Si tracking technology with video evidence and police resources, the crime was solved efficiently, preventing additional incidents and ensuring public safety.
