STORY OF THE MONTH

Beauty Supply Store – Lincoln, CA – March 5, 2025

In the early morning hours, a suspect broke into a beauty store by shattering the glass door with a crowbar. The suspect filled a crate with approximately $19,500 worth of merchandise, which included an ORC Tracker, and fled the scene. The tracker alerted local law enforcement. They were led 50 miles away from the original location of crime and after a brief vehicle and foot pursuit, were able to apprehend the suspect and recover the stolen merchandise.

Convenience Store – Irving, TX – March 3, 2025

1 Arrest and Full Recovery of $4,075

A suspect entered a convenience store, approached the counter, and threatened the clerk with a gun. He filled two garbage bags with $4,000+ worth of cigarettes and a Tobacco Tracker. The tracker activated and law enforcement tracked the suspect’s vehicle across jurisdictions. The tracker ultimately led officers to the suspect, resulting in his apprehension, and the recovery of the stolen goods.

Bank – New York City, NY – March 12, 2025

1 Arrest

A lone suspect entered a bank and approached the teller station, demanding cash. The teller complied, providing the suspect with cash, and a Cash Tracker. The suspect fled the scene on foot, entering a nearby New York City Housing development. The Cash Tracker alerted local law enforcement to the suspect’s location, and they were able to locate and apprehend the suspect.

Telecommunications Store – Concord, CA – March 17, 2025

1 Arrest and Full Recovery of $30,000

A burglary occurred at a telecommunications store, during which a suspect stole $30,000 worth of devices, including a Phone Tracker. 3Si contacted Local law enforcement, who immediately began tracking the device. The tracker led officers away from the scene, until it became stationary nearby. Law enforcement responded to the location and successfully apprehended the suspect. A full recovery of the stolen goods has since been made.

Clothing Store – Houston, TX – March 21, 2025

3 Arrests and Full Recovery of $1,000

Three suspects escaped a clothing store with over $1,000 worth of stolen items but unknowingly left with several ORC Trackers as well. 3Si’s ORC Trackers provided real-time tracking assistance, relaying information directly to law enforcement. Police were led to one suspect but after an investigation, all three suspects were successfully apprehended. With the help of the ORC Tracker, these criminals were taken off the street and the stolen items were recovered.

Bank – Raleigh, NC – March 24, 2025

1 Arrest and Full Recovery

An armed suspect entered a bank and demanded cash from the teller. The suspect then fired their gun in the air, leading the teller to quickly hand over the requested cash. Along with the cash, a Cash Tracker was taken which relayed real-time information to law enforcement, allowing law enforcement to track the dangerous and armed criminal live. The suspect was tracked until they became stationary nearby where local police apprehended the suspect, and recovered the stolen cash and illegal firearm. There were no injuries to customers, employees, or law enforcement.

Clothing Store – Chicago, IL – March 26, 2025

1 Arrest and Full Recovery of $500

Three female suspects walked into a Chicago retail store with the intention of stealing. They stole almost $1,000 worth of clothes as well as an ORC Tracker. The tracker activated and relayed real-time information directly to law enforcement. With this information, they reached the suspects within 13 minutes. All three suspects were apprehended, and a full recovery was made. A swift and full recovery for law enforcement and the retailer.

Pharmacy – Cleveland, OH – March 30, 2025

1 Arrest and Full Recovery of $500

A Cleveland pharmacy was targeted by a lone suspect attempting to steal money from businesses. The suspect walked into the pharmacy demanding the cashier give them cash from the register. They fled the store with $500 and a Cash Tracker that the cashier included with the stolen money. The tracker activated and local PD were notified. With 3Si’s Tracking Support Center on the line providing the tracker’s real time location, police were able to close in on the suspect, apprehend them, and recover the stolen cash.

Convenience Store – Essex, MD – March 31, 2025

1 Arrest and Full Recovery of $500

A robbery occurred at a convenience store, where a lone female suspect entered the store and approached the service counter while brandishing a knife. Weapon in hand, the suspect walked behind the counter and demanded cash from the register. The clerk complied, and the suspect fled the scene on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash as well as a Cash Tracker which alerted local police with real-time tracking information. Local law enforcement were able to locate and apprehend the suspect nearby. A full recovery of the stolen cash is expected, and no injuries were reported.
